How is it possible that a parent has let their 10 year old child get so out of control they feel the need to call the police on  her? And how is it possible that an officer of the law has no better reaction then to retaliate by using a tazer against a child. I find the whole situation sad. This is a child. She has been on this earth a whole ten years. She doesn't have the knowledge or judgement of an adult, but the adults in her life have shown little better judgement then the child herself. What a shame.

Watching a clip of Larry king a couple days ago, and Dr. Phil was guest. The other guest was a former POW, and a JAG officer.

The JAG offier commented that enough of the pshychobabble had occured, and it was time to call the situation at Fort Hood what it really was; and act of terrorism commited by an Islamic radical. ''Dr. Phil warned that this was "very dangerous" to assume the person was an islamic radical just because he had an islamic name.  Perhaps he feels that speculation wasn't appropriate given the fact the issue was relatively new.

Dr. Phil then went on to speculate himself about the mental stability of the person, which I found ironic, since he had just critisized the JAG officer for speculating.

The level of political correctness in this country is exactly why these incidens happen. It was known that this person had "issues" with America. It was known that he was frequenting Anti American / pro terrorism web pages. It was known that he had made inappropriate comments to returning soldiers about the war in Iraq being unjust. The issue, I believe, is that the unrequired level of political correctness in this country, perpetuated by people like Dr. Phil, who's first instinct is either

1. don't anger any potential fans
2. don't get sued by an ambulance hcasing attorny.

is what is driving this country into the ground. No one can say what they feel. Apparently free speech is only valid when it is confirmed with careful selection of words such as the "alleged" fort hood shoot.. or the "suspected" islamic radical fort hood shooter...

enough is enough. This is America. We should have the right to say what we feel, and we don't need "experts" like Dr. Phil condemning people for speaking their mind.

I'm almost speechless?? Have you seen these clips of the BYU vs. NM "exceptional" women's soccer game? Check out the link.
http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=4628040&categoryid=2378529

How does this "happen", I'm petrified of my daughter being in the position of "victim" and I have no idea how a parent is supposed to handle a situation like this. I understand competitive, aggressive play and support it... the normal stress of a "regular" soccer game is already taxing. I can feel my bloodpressure climb just considering a situation like this! Why is the "exceptionally" agressive game becoming more the norm?

I would like to send out my prayers to those affected by the shootings @ Fort Hood. My son's childhood friend is stationed there & I am worried about him. We haven't heard anything as of yet from him. His name is Ted. So please pray for him & I will post any updates as to how he is. Thanx to all of you for doing this.
I also would like to say that in my opinion they must have known that this dude had issues. He was already moved to another location because of performance. How can you let the guy remain a psychiatrist if he isn't performing his job properly? Wouldn't he be hurting a persons mind that was already troubled if he isn't doing his job right? That alone is SCARY!! I just don't get it!!

I just can't stop thinking about this. It blows my mind that so many people were there and did nothing or participated. Right away the focus is who is pointing fingers at school. The school is saying "we don't follow them home from school, once they leave we are not responsible" What??!! My God, this just appauls me. So what if she left the school, they are still humans with some kind of feeling right? They should own up and instead of saying 'oh its not our fault!!" say "we are sorry what can we do to help this poor girl heal and make sure this never happens again"  I think the thing that I can not wrap my mind around is the spectrum of peoples actions in this country. We have selfless, amazing people who give and/or devote their lives to our safety our health our childrens well being and without recognition make miracles happen every day. And walking alongside them on the same street are those who carelessly rip a person apart or watch as it happens. I just don't understand. I hope all of you join me in praying for this girl and her family. Her life will never be the same and the finger pointing needs to be stopped now and people from every aspect of this situation need to help her begin healing right now.

My hope, my wish and my prayer is a medical/dental head to toe/inside & out THE WORKS Ultimate Makeover so I feel in tip top shape.

Also, former Green Beret Medic, Lynn, (with one silver & two bronze stars) who did video could use a good physical and eye exam and dental tweaking since the VA Hospital no longer does eye exams and does not provide dental care.

If we both come... Tigger will need to come too. Tigger is from a homeless shelter so we never want to leave him in a kennel. Tigger could use a doggie Ultimate Makeover or doggie spa day. I feel like Dr. Phil would understand us wanting Tigger to tag along since Dr. Phil's dog, Maggie, goes to work and travels with him and Robin.

I'm narrator of story I write K94U "DogONit" radio "Just say Woof" for da informed pet. Tiggs was guest on show live in person.

Thank you and sincerely,
SEA (my initials backwards)

In view of the new statements about John Edwards by his former aide, stating that he is the father of Rielle Hunter's child, I wish Dr. Phil would explain the most confusing question women have about men:  Why is that men work hard to build a career, search for a good wife, buy a home, raise a family, and then it seems that the ultimate "prize", that they will throw away everything else for, is a fling with a woman they would never have dated as an undergraduate?  Edwards had it all - the probability of a high position in the government, personal wealth, a fine wife, beautiful, nice children.  Why  would he throw it away?  Why did Eliot Spitzer throw it away?   I wish you had the Edwards on the show.
