In a word-NO!! Not unless you want to get trapped in a situation that takes you out of the driver's seat and places you under the tire and then rolls over you numerous times.  My book Letters to a Prisoner by Connie D. shows just how awful it is to be out of control with a loved one. My family endured over ten years of pain, mainly due to the enablers out there. Although I participated in the enabling process in the beginning, the State of Hawaii's legal system and well-meaning friends also helped to perpetuate the problem. Don't fall iinto this trap. If saying no isn't an option--you don't get it! And the Addict is so good at manipulation that no one comes out a winner. Get the help you need.
