How nasty can you be?  Do you not understand the girl just turned 19??  She will grow up, in TIME. 

Katherine is justified in her feelings.  If you recal, her father flat out stated, in front of a national t.v. viewing audience, that Alex "was his favorite".   That was a stupid a&& thing to say AND do!  Hurtful.  Harmful.  Long lasting negative effects. 

Even now, back on the show, Katherine is ONCE AGAIN being pushed into the background with her sisters crap far outweighing any problems she is trying to work through and deal with.  For Gods sake, even on the board set up for HER benefit, "What advice do you have for Katherine",   the posts are 99% about her SISTER.    Same old song and dance for Kat.

I am not excusing her childish mistakes.  She DID make more than a few bad decisions.  But the fact of the mater is she IS young, and she does NOT have two children who she has to consider.  At the very least, she has enough brains to be using birth control!  Personally, I think she has far more brains than just that.  She is smart, insightful, spirited, and fiesty.  She puts her mind to it,  she will go very far in life.


Give the girl a break!  She is the one child in this family who, imo, actually has a legitimate beef with how she was dealt with when she was younger.   The truth is she WAS in her sisters shadow.  While sometimes she had to be, other times she did not.  And that falls on her parents.  Not her.


The one point I happen to agree with is that she needs to speak and act more compassionatley towards her sister.   Not just for Alexs sake, but for KATHERINES benefit!  Being hard and harsh with family members is never the wise choice.  Something she should know very well herself.  If she can find the courage and strength (shouldnt be hard for HER) to step up and be the bigger person in the sister relationship, she will be stepping up onto the path of becoming a well adjusted grown up.

If a significant other is doing something that another needs to lie to authorities, then they need to run not walk away.  Granted, most people think that love is a good excuse to lie, but love is not an excuse or a reason to lie.  If you can't remain true to yourself, and the other cannot remain true to the law, then there's more wrong than just lying.

Katherine is the sister, who resents Alex a lot.  Erin is the mom who has not done a good job, but is the one taking care of the kids, a putting up with a totally spoiled daughter who will not take responsibility for her own kids.

I can't beleive we are still listening to all the troubles that this family has. Why are you still bothering with it, Dr Phil? It is obvious to me that we are just witnessing perfomances from these family members, all dressed up and saying what they think we want them to say. I fell sick to my stomach every time I see or hear any of them speak. Can we get them off the Dr Phil Show because I dobt anyone really cares anymore.....This is just a waste of time!

Having been a troubled teen myself I can honestly say that when your 13-16 yeah there is the possibility that you will lie to the police and think you will get away with it! But come on now this happened when she was 17-18, she had to of been on more than just smoking marijuana! She is old enough to know better and obviously just to stupid or fried to do the right thing. I get so sick of this girl, she needs to grow up and personally I think she is only straightening up because of the spotlight the Dr. Phil show has put on her! She will end up back with her loser boyfriend and back in trouble if she doesn't realize this is her life not " oh I better make it look good for Dr. Phil and the court" She doesn't care about her sister and thats SAD! I have many brothers and some of which have ended up in rehab and jail, but I still care and love them! One  that stole my car a wrecked it trying to get drugs, Yeah I still love him and care about what happens to him! Self centered little BRAT...thats exactly what Katherine is... She will never get anywhere in life with the attitude that court is Awesome and I hate my sister because she has kids and they get more attention than me... I wrote her on her blog with the title Poor Katherine  and thats how she is....POOR ME< WHAT ABOUT ME????!!!! STUPID GIRL!!!! GROW UP!!!!!

Alexander, move back home for awhile, with the children. You can't make it by yourself, You are a child in a woman's body. Sure it would be wonderful to find a man to make the decisions for you, be there for you.  But I think you will make the same mistake over again, for the 3rd time.  It makes for good tv, believe me..... when I say I know.  After I adopted the 2 children out I went on to make a good marriage with a wonderful man, that lasted for 60 years, had 1 child with him. Our son is dead now, and so is my husband.  I have met one of the children, she had a wonderful life & a good education.  You have had a life, where you haven't had to step up to the plate. Maybe you have to go completely on your own, but, the first lonely night , someone will be with you, and you will think you are in love again. Passion is wonderful, makes the world go around. Perhaps you could go back into school and become a phycologist and have your own tv show, you are very adept with the language now.  Someday, all this too will end. I wish you and your Family the best, in whatever you do. This life doesn't have a re-run.

I think that this family needs some very intensive intervention and needs to get off TV. I remember when they were on TV the first time and Dr. Phil was giving those girls vacations and gifts. Do you think that helped anyone Dr. Phil? The family's 15 minutes of fame (and I assume fortune) didn't help anyone-in fact made things worse. This is a terribly dysfunctional group. Where is Dad?  There is something very important that is the key to this mess. Fascinating that the girls both have very very similar and dysfunctional boyfriends. I fear that those little children are living in an environment with their grandparents which is just going to perpetuate all this. Why doesn't Erin work?  What happened to Katherine's dreams of college? And what is mom really like off camera. These girls both have the same feeling about their mom. And mom presents herself as the savior and the glue of this family. Could she be the problem?

As I watched the show from my sickbed with the flu, listening to Alex whine, I noticed that not once, not once, did she want anything for her children.  It was all about her, wanting someone next to her, she is "so stressed out" etc. PULLLEEZZZEE!!!!! This young woman clearly should not be a mother, is a liar, and I would try really hard for custody if I were her soon-to-be ex.  I also wondered "how can she afford those manicured claws, perfectly quoffed hair, etc., when she cannot even provide for her children and really has no intention of getting a job!!!  Those children deserve better.  I hope she stays out of the country with her new boyfriend .Let someone else give those two children (who, now it would seem, could be the possible victims of abuse????) a decent life. 

I have no sympathy for her AT ALL.  She wanted the fun of making babies but none of the responsibility. She has no love for anyone other than herself and clearly does not love her children.

Send this selfish ***** packing, Dr. Phil.

Young is no excuse she is spoiled ,if you and I did wrong in our younger days
and we had this kind of help we would see the light:
She only sees her wants ,she knows her mother and father will take care of things
and one day she will pay dearly as those children will pay dearly for such a screwed up life:

no one gives anyone a book (they should)how to raise a child
even Dr Phils book wouldn't sink in her brain
He needs to give this family time to breath on thier own and do whats best period"for all:
