Hi there! Hey, I know that being in a new place with no friends seems boring and scary but maybe this will help. I read this article in a magazine about taking a trip by yourself because it enabels you to be more you. You don't have to put on any show for anyone, you can just stop where you want to stop or digress whenever you want. You could apply this here to! You could go on google and find things to do in the city and then just go. There will be other people doing the same things and then you will meet them and make friends. The beauty of this is that there isn't anyone else to think about when asking, what should I do tonight? I know you probably don't believe me, but I love to do this once in a while. I just find something I want to do and go by myself. It's very freeing believe it or not. Also, anyone you meet doesn't have any expectations of you and therefore you can be whoever you are and no one will question it.  Just give a try once, I know it seems stupid but really, as I said, it's super liberating :) GL!

I am 27 years old and weigh about 210 lbs. Since I am 5'2" I need to loose around 90 lbs to be at my healthy target weight. I think it would be amazing if all of us that are in need of help form a group and help each other through email. I've seen many of you post your email addresses, here is mine: dragonstar2712@gmail.com.

I am a 30 year old stay at home mom of a 22 month old girl. I spend a lot of time if front of the computer, not so much the television. I try to eat healthy but I just don't exercise as I do not have the motivation or the financial background to start something like weight watchers or herbal magic.

My doctor says it is safe to lose 10 pounds a month at maximum, 2.5 pounds a week. Judging from that, it will take me 6 months to go from 180 pounds to 120 pounds, which is what I am supposed to weigh being 30 years old and on 5 feet 2 inches tall. The extra weight I am carrying around is affecting my back as well. I went for a 20 minute walk today mostly uphill and I sure broke a sweat.

Anyone want to start some sort of diet with me from January 1st, 2012 to June 30th, 2012??

Let me know what kind of ideas you may have. I requested a gym pass for Christmas and will start there. I have also looked up Canada's Food Guide and am hoping to start by eating HALF of the servings so I can take the pounds and inches off faster.

I am REALLY interested in the P.I.N.K. diet, but am afraid to look up the cost and I do not have a credit card. I really want to find my motivation I had 3 years ago when I weighed 125 pounds BEFORE I had my baby.

I will take ANY positive feedback.Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I'm 28 years old and i weigh a whopping 250 pounds. I have been struggling with my weight since I was 8years old. I just think thats way too long to struggle with something, that I believe should be easy to do.
Unfortunately, it has not been easy at all. Every time I do loose weight it comes back quicker than I lost it and 3x more.

I recently moved to Texas 3 years ago, and now find myself gaining more and more weight. At 28years old is hard to find friends and people to socialize with after work.  Ive been here for 3years and I cant tell you anything about this city , because who will I go with? Sounds like a pity party, but honestly this situation has taken a huge toll on me. There's nothing more that I want in this world than to loose this weight. I just don't know where to start and how to keep it off even if I did succeed loosing weight.

I dont know what questions I should ask?

Something just told me to get on here and express how I felt, so lets see where this takes me.

Have a great day everyone, and God Bless.

xoxoxo

OK. Now that we're all in agreement how are we going to do this? I am brand new at Dr Phil's message board. Weight is on my mind every day and has been most of my life. OK, What's our plan?

Hello, sorry to hear about the struggles of losing weight. First, I specialized in sports on a professional level and now I am a certified trainer and just overall a person who cares about helping other people feel better about themselves physically which sometimes changes the person spirit as well. I also have family members that are either over weight or diabetic, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and the list contiues. One thing I know for a fact is that I can help you if you and your husband if you all want the help. One problem with some diets is the fact that it truly isn't a total diet. Changing your eating habits is always first but some people need that jump start where they see the results and are not starving themselves. I have lost 10 lbs and I am a lean person by nature but my sister lost 16lbs in a month and she believe it or not was not at the gym everyday or even twice a week. Now she could have increase or should I say decrease her BMI much more but she did see results. So if you are interested in losing or committed to losing weight reach out to me and I will help you along this journey.
