2014 Shows

The family of 19-year-old Jake Limberios continues to search for answers surrounding his death in March 2012. Who fired the gunshot that ended his life? Brittany and Will, who witnessed the shooting, say Jake, a gun enthusiast, accidentally shot himself in the head. Although the coroner ruled his death a suicide, Jake’s parents, Mike and Shannon, say their son, a young father, never would’ve taken his own life. Left with so many unanswered questions, Jake’s parents had his body exhumed and autopsied by renowned forensic pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht, who concluded that Jake’s cause of death wasn’t suicide. Dr. Phil speaks with Dr. Wecht via satellite -- hear why he says Jake couldn’t have shot himself. Plus, Brittany and Will say they sympathize with Jake’s parents but are tired of being under suspicion and agree to take polygraph tests to prove they’re not hiding any details about Jake’s death. What will the results reveal? And, Mike and Shannon say their marriage has grown strained since their son’s death -- can they learn to come together and find peace after such a painful loss? (OAD: 11-15-13)

I was horrified when I watched the Dr Phil episode ”The mysterious death of Jacob Limberios”! What kind of polygraph questions was that? Why were’nt they asked more direct questions, like:

1) Did you shoot/kill Jacob?

2) Do you have any information regarding the other 2 kids shooting/killing Jacob?

3) Is there someting about the shooting/killing of Jacob that you’re hiding?

Why questions like “Did Jacob shoot himself?”...in ones mind that could be hard to answer in a polygraph test because one could be thinking “he was the last one with the gun”....”it was’nt any of us that did it”... and so on, but if one actually did’nt see him shoot himself one might be struggling with the answer, consciously or subconsciously.
My heart goes out to both the parents and the friends.

Why wasnt Will brought in for questioning?  He was suppositly sitting on the ottomen where Jake was shot? And why didnt the police test for gun residue and blood on all the kids, even if they washed it off the labs can still find blood residue?  Neither was brought up in the 2 day show?

Why wasnt (Will) the other kid involved in the situation on the show.  When they shoped the police discription of the crime scene there was a Will sitting on the ottomen that Jake was suppositly on when he was shot? That would make sense, as the dad said in his comment, that if Jake turned away because they were horsing around that is how the shooting could have occurred.  Plus why didnt the police do residue tests on all the kids after the shooting, wouldnt there be blood spattered on the violators hand or person even if they washed it off) the police have ways of detecting residue even than?  Neither of these questions were brought up during the 2 day show? why?

It will do nothing but muddy the waters of this case to bring in a couple of sideshow charlatans to what, commune with Jake's spirit and get the "truth"? Get real.

I think the kids should have been asked more questions on the polygraph. Like did you shoot him or did your other friend shoot him
