2013 Shows

When the woman dubbed the “New York Soccer Mom Madam,” Anna Gristina sat down with Dr. Phil in September 2012, she denied accusations of running a multimillion dollar prostitution empire and claimed she had been wrongly targeted by investigators who were “out to get her.” Three weeks later, Anna shockingly pleaded guilty to one count of promoting prostitution. Now, Anna says she’s ready to come clean to Dr. Phil. Does she believe her venture crossed the line into prostitution? Plus, hear how she says her simple matchmaking company flourished into a global business with a roster of wealthy and prominent clientele, allegedly including professional football players and management. Will she name names? Don’t miss this tell-all Dr. Phil exclusive!

Find out what happened on the show.

I agree. He had no problem giving full names AND showing pictures of the escorts/ alleged prostiutes, and one might argue that maybe they were young, addicted to drugs, or in some horrible situation where they felt that they had no choice but to have sex for money. Can anyone think of a situation where the solicitors felt that they had no choice but to solicit a prostitute?

Just watched the sparing between dr p and Anna's attorney.  While I think she is almost as good at twisting words as dr p, I am so on the side of her attorney.  Dr p, you totally led us All on, advertising the "names " that would be told/revealed.  Would she wouldnt she and you say she twists words....wow. Now you get all up and moral?  Come on,  you know good and well that ppl watch your show for the sensationalism and 2nd for the education. You want moral?  Then let these adulterists face the music. How about their families?  Don't they deserve the truth about the liars they are living with or are you one of those "lets not upset the apple cart" kinda guys hmmmmm?

i hope the comments (if there are any ). Are more about the content of this message and not the misspellings

I agree completely with "Disappointed".  I watched the show of Feb. 4, 2013 about the accused "Madam" .  I do not condone what she apparently did OR the men that participated in the services offered.  I have watched Dr. Phil ever since he started out on the Oprah Winfrey Show and thought he made good judgements about peoples problems.  However, on this particular show I lost respect for him and may not watch his show again.  It seems to me that his show has been getting increasingly more sensationalistic than helpful.  Upcoming TV ads suggested that the names of the men involved might be told and when it came time to do that Dr. Phil copped out and said that would NOT take place on his show.  How unfair to sit there making all kinds of accusations about the woman and not mention the men.  The men are just as quilty as she is.  She offered a service for money and the men paid for this service.  Why is there a "double standard".  The women prostitues seem to always get the bad publicity and the men walk away scott free.  In this case, the men are supposedly well known and respected.  Does that make them any better than the average Joe off the street.  I think not.  Just because they are wealthy, heaven forbid Dr. Phil should let the "Madam" mention them by name.  Dr. Phil's famous saying is that people should "Own" their faults and yet he blatently did not do this on this show.  The lawyer hit the nail on the head in his comments to Dr. Phil and it was obvious Dr. Phil felt like he had been caught not taking his own advice.  Makes me wonder if Dr. Phil is friends with some of these men and was covering for them.  That show was so one sided.  I hope the so called "Madam" writes a book and names each and every man involved in her services.  That is what's wrong with our society in general.  The wealthy and those in power get away with everything.  It's time to put a stop to this unfair practice.  That's, also, what's wrong with our government today.  They make sure they make new laws that affect the average to poor citizens but that won't affect themselves.  Bottom line is that I was VERY dissappointed in Dr. Phil and in my opinion has lost his credibility.

Exactly.  She takes no actual responsibility for the damage she has facilitated while simultaneously rationalizing, minimizing, intellectualizing and denying everything.  She lives in a self-delusional fantasy world.

This chick may be from Scotland but her money is probably in a Swiss bank account.  She simply is not smart enough to have managed this operation alone which makes me wonder just who else was helping drive the bus she now claims to have been thrown under "taking one for the 20-year-relationship gipper."

She reminds me of Brer Rabbit begging not to be thrown in the briar patch..."please don't deport me...I might then be outside the long arm of the American judicial system and be forced to write a book which will make me richer than ever."  The feigned "fear of deportation" is another level of manipulation to avoid prosecution.

Apparently, she isn't aware that a brilliant man by the name of Eric Berne wrote a book about her little superficially plausible "mind games" which conceal motivations leading to a well-defined predictible outcome.

I say freeze her assets...no pun intended!  As for Dr. Phil...his integrity is intact 24/7!

I am really disappointed in this season overall.  Dr. Phil, I feel like you're "interviewing' people, not helping people. And seriously, this glorified pimp shouldn't have even been on your radar. The show I watched today was not informative at all....with regards to the murder of Sam and Julie.  No progress was made whatsoever. I also feel like you're cramming too many people into one show.  There have been many shows where I think you should have spent more time with the main guests, but you're putting them aside to talk to other guests.  I'm not sure what you're accomplishing doing that. Again, I'm just really disappointed.
